The Supply Yard is a collection of the components in use on the Mill Valley Lines model railroad. These are items that I have personally used and can recommend based on my experience. These are not endorsements, just a list of what I have found to work well for my application.

Command Control

Digital Command Control (DCC) components and general communication-related hardware for the railroad.

CS-105 Command Station

CS-105 Command Station

The primary command station for the layout which handles DCC and LCC. It has built-in WiFi to easily use WiFi throttles or connect to JMRI.

LCC-LocoNet Gateway (Auto-switching)

LCC-LocoNet Gateway (Auto-switching)

A gateway that allows LCC and LocoNet to communicate, enabling the use of LocoNet devices on an LCC network.

LocoBuffer-NG (Next Generation)

LocoBuffer-NG (Next Generation)

A USB interface for connecting LocoNet devices to a computer, allowing for easy integration with JMRI or other software. Note: This is needed to program LocoNet devices, such as the QuadLN_S board over LocoNet, as the LCC Gateway does not support programming.

TrainSpotter

TrainSpotter

An easy-to-use infrared train detection sensor that can be placed between the rails to detect train presence. I use these for train detection in the staging yards of the layout, so that I can turn off track power but still detect when a train is present.
